Monument of WWI on Vörösmarty Square, Veszprém, Hungary

This Monument is located at Vörösmarty square in Veszprem city center. Prepared by Malasits Ferenc, inaugurated in 1939. You can see an Obelisk made out of Sand stone. On the top there is a Turul Bird sitting with a sword in his beak and all around on the surface of the monument can you find red stone memorial tablets and epigraphes.  On the upper part of the obelisk you can see the number of the year : 1914-1918 for the memories of the Austro-Hungarian 31.Foot Regiment Patriots of Veszprém.

Veszprém is a city with county rights in the Central Transdanubian region of Hungary. The historical
town which is the administrative centre of Veszprém County has a population of 57.000 persons and
