Мемориалната стена с барелеф на контраадмирал Иван Вариклечков във Варна, България
Мемориалната стена на контраадмирал Иван Вариклечков е построена през 1949 г. За дизайнер на стената е одобрен Киро Янев. Тържественото откриване на Мемориалната стена е на 7 юли 2011 г. по повод 120-годишнината от рождението на контраадмирал Иван Вариклечков.
Средната, извита ниша на стената е сложна, но компактна композиция от мрамор и бронз, в която доминира усещането за добре разположен цветен и пластичен център. Слабо видимите разлики между цветовете на бронза и мрамора създават усещане за деликатна игра между основните материали, между по-декоративния фон и впечатляващия, макар и доста детайлен, скулптурен образ.

Historical WWI Context
През Първата световна война контраадмирал Иван Вариклечков обслужва немски подводници в Северно море и Атлантическия океан. Той създава средство за откриване на вражески подводници. Командир на торпедоносеца"Смели". След поражението на България от Първата световна война той ръководи трансфера на френски военни части през река Дунав. Той получава френския легион на честта.

An interesting fact is that Rear Variclechkov has impressed with his honesty and integrity, which brought him a lot of trouble and political chasing. Standing against his government and against even the king, he has sacrificed his brilliant military career and the well-being of his family, but remained true to his true love - his homeland, Bulgaria.
