The Memorial Wall with a bas-relief of Rear Admiral Ivan Variclechkov in Varna, Bulgaria
The Memorial Wall of Rear Admiral Ivan Variclechkov was built in 194. For the designer of the wall was approved Kiro Yanev. The solemn opening of the Memorial Wall was on 7 July 2011 on the 120th anniversary of the birth of Rear Admiral Ivan Variclechkov. The middle, arched niche is a complex but compact composition of marble and bronze that dominates the feeling of a well-located chromatic and plastic centre. The barely visible differences between the colours of the bronze and the marble create a sense of delicate play between the basic materials, between the more decorative background and the impressive, though rather detailed, sculpture image.

An interesting fact is that Rear Variclechkov has impressed with his honesty and integrity, which brought him a lot of trouble and political chasing. Standing against his government and against even the king, he has sacrificed his brilliant military career and the well-being of his family, but remained true to his true love - his homeland, Bulgaria.
