Soldier's Monument in the settlement of Brestak, Varna Region, Bulgaria
The Soldier's Monument in the settlement of Brestak was built in the memory of the inhabitants of the village who have died during the 1912-1913 and 1915-1918 wars in defence of the homeland.
The monument is situated in the village’s park near the fountain; there is an area especially for it. The monument is made of stone and cement. It is celebrated on June 2th each year.
The soldiers’ monuments on the territory of the Municipality of Valchi Dol were surveyed and registered in 2008 by the municipal administration when the "Military Monuments Act" entered into force on 01.01.2008. At present Valchi Dol municipality administration takes care of 17 military monuments and memorial plaques, located in the settlements on municipal territory.

The Soldier's Monument in the settlement of Brestak was built in the memory of the inhabitants of the village who died during the 1912-1913 and 1915-1918 wars in defence of the homeland.
There is a plaque with the names of 2 lieutenants and 34 soldiers who died in the wars. Also on the plaque has an impressive inscription “Оf the fallen for the homeland in 1912-1913 and 1915-1918.”

St. Dimitar Solunski Church in the village of Brestak
In the village of Brestak near the WWI monument is located the St. Dimitar Solunski Church. For first time it was built around 1853, but during the Crimean War it was burned. The second church in Brestak was built between 1863 and 1865. There was a Renaissance school there. The current, third church, was built in 1927 as a three-nave, cross-shaped basilica with an oval shape. In 2013 the church was largely repaired with the support by a European project.

Valtchi Dol (meaning "wolf ravine" in Bulgarian) is a town in north-eastern Bulgaria, part of Varna region. It is located 47 km to the north-west from the city of Varna, 11 km to the north from the town of Suvorovo and 23 km to the south from the town of Dobrich.
The town is the administrative center of Valchi Dol municipality, which comprises 21 settlements. The population numbers to approximately 3560 people. The climate is temperate-continental and is characterized by a hot summer, a sunny autumn, a cold winter with plenty of snowfalls and a cool spring. The relief is various - vast fields and rolling green hills surrounded by century old forests spread and murmuring rivers. The former name of the town used to be Kurt Dere.
The town of Valchi Dol has been established in the 60's of the 19th century and was initially a small Circassian village.
The only ski-track in the north-eastern Bulgaria is in Valchi Dol. Its total length is 250 m and it attracts many tourists during the winter. There is a rope-line for the skiers and excellent conditions for snowboarding lovers. In the area Koshu Bair there are two eco-trails and another in Klyunka area. The surroundings of the town provide excellent opportunities for the development of sport fishing and hunting tourism. On April 10th, 2009 a new shooting lodge was opened in the town.
An ethnographic collection of objects used in everyday life and national costumes is on display at the community center of the town, an on one of the town's squares there is a monument of a wolf - the symbol of Valchi Dol.
At 9 km away from the town lies General Kiselovo dam-lake which offers opportunities for a great catch - silver carp, carp, grass carp and craw-fish. A hut with a tavern was built near the dam-lake to offer excellent conditions for relax among beautiful nature, tranquility and serenity. The place is famous for the annual fishing competition held there annually.
