Statue of Victory in Tisita, Vrancea County, Romania
The monument is located near Marasesti and was erected in 1934 by the sculptor Oscar Han. It is the statue of the Victory representing a Romanian heroine, Ecaterina Teodoroiu with the sword raised overhead, as a personification of the Goddess of Victory. The character in question symbolizes, in reality, the homeland and the victory achieved during the First World War. On the monument it reads "You shall not pass through here!” The bronze monument is erected on a platform with a remarkable visibility. Oscar Han, who donated the statue, was made an honorary citizen of the town of Marasesti. At the inauguration of the monument attended King Carol the Second and the Grand Voevod Mihai.
